Trident - 46m sanlorenzo 46steel
Trident is one of only seven 46Steel models to be made. She was the 6th built in the series, and this model is the 20th-largest yacht to come from Sanlorenzo. She was delivered to her first Hong Kong owner in 2014 by this Italian shipbuilder, who have over 60 years of experience. This 46m superyacht comes with a steel hull which is topped by an aluminium superstructure and has a gross tonnage of 499. Her beam is 9.35m and at full load she sits in the water with a 2.65m draft.
Trident has a 51,000L fuel capacity. She can cruise comfortably at a speed of 15 knots, and she has a max speed of 17 knots powered by her twin 3512-C-DITA Caterpillar diesel engines (2,011 horsepower). When cruising at 10.5 knots she can reach a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
One of Trident’s coveted features is the fact that the 3 upper teak decks are connected by an elevator. These 3 astern terraces also adorn glass railings to ensure an uninterrupted view of the sea and landscapes. She also has a highly desired beach club area and swim platform, plus an outdoor cinema setup, and a beauty salon for guests to enjoy.
Trident had its last refit in 2017 and was most recently sold in 2019 when she was relocated to Singapore to greet her new owner. She had an asking price of €18,800,000, although we do not know the agreed sale price. There is one Sanlorenzo 46Steel yacht currently available for sale named Scorpion, whos asking price is €21,900,000. Scorpion was the 7th 46Steel in this series and was built in 2015.
Trident is currently moored at Sentosa Cove, Singapore, one of Asia’s finest marinas. Her champagne colour makes her stand out amongst the plethora of large superyachts, situated just outside the prestigious ONE°15 yacht club.
Yacht Fail
In November 2022, Trident collided with another Sanlorenzo superyacht, named Annabella. It took Trident several attempts to reverse back into its tight berthing spot, but they got there in the end. We don't know if any damage was caused to either yacht or what caused the error, but it was certainly a nail-biting moment!
