THE SPACESHIP ON WATER
The ‘Royal Falcon One’ is a distinctively futuristic-looking vessel that has just hit the market and is being depicted as a “spaceship on water”.
In 2009, the design team Studio F. A. Porsche that is part of the Porsche group, came together with Singapore-based Royal Falcon Fleet where they sought and commissioned a yacht that no one had ever built before. The project was veiled in secrecy and constructed in the Swedish town Nynäshamn by Kockums Shipyard. The 135ft lavish catamaran was launched after 10 years in the making.
Amenities
In addition to her fine leather furniture and her boasting windows with panoramic views, her lavish amenities include a bar in the main saloon, an observation lounge, on the top sun deck she has a jacuzzi, and the stern has a concealed tender garage where a crane is used for deployment and recovery.
With her twin diesel engines that have 4,600hp, plus her twin Rolls Royce KaMeWa waterjets, she has a range of approx 3,200km and was specifically designed to have low fuel consumption. She has a max speed of 35 knots and cruising speed of about 15 knots. Her exterior design resembles that of a sports car, representing speed and dynamics in a new way.
