56m benetti - lady candy
THE LARGEST YACHT IN SENTOSA COVE
Previously, the superyacht Double Haven (51m) was the biggest yacht berthed in the marina at Sentosa Cove, Singapore, a premium residential district. But this year, Double Haven has moved on to Indonesia and is currently moored at Benoa in Bali. This made way for the spectacular Lady Candy (56m) to take its place in the prestigious private marina, which has been named ‘Best Asian Marina of the Year’ 7 times since it opened in 2007. Lady Candy now sits right outside the doors of the ONE°15 members club.
Lady Candy was built in 2013 by Italian ship builders Benetti, who worked in partnership with Hong Kong’s Central Yacht, to create her breathtaking exterior and Asian-influenced interior design. Her superstructure is made of aluminum, and her hull is steel, which is an unusual ‘moondust’ cream shade. With a beam of 10.6m and of course a LOA of 56m, it adds up to an impressive volume of 962GT, with a draft maximum of 3.55m.
Lady Candy is the 40th largest superyacht that Benetti have manufactured, and she is ranked as the 604th largest yacht in the world.
She can accommodate 12 guests in 6 staterooms, plus 13 crew members in 7 crew cabins on board. The owner’s suite is on the upper aft deck and is full beam. It features a bar, fireplace and a private office, plus a private VIP terrace with 180° panoramic views. All staterooms have ensuite bathrooms with hydromassage bathtubs and separate showers.
Her entertainment areas are designed to accommodate large groups, for example, she has a huge 88m2 salon.
Other notable features on board this opulent superyacht, include a lavish cinema room, a gym, a spa massage room, Turkish bath, sauna and even a dance floor.
Lady Candy is powered by twin MTU diesel engines (model 12V 4000 M53R) with a combined total of 3752hp. She can carry 125,000L in her fuel tanks, plus 30,000L of water. This gives her an impressive max range of 8,000nm when cruising at 10 knots but she can cruise at 15 knots. Her mono hull is capable of cutting through the water at a top speed of 17 knots.
This stunning vessel was up for sale this year with an asking price of £26,547,204 (approx €32,000,000). Previously to this, she was last sold in 2010.
